Details
Overexpression of the yeast genes for superoxide dismutase (SOD1) and cytoplasmic catalase (CTT1) in YPK9 (; mean 14.7) had no effect on life span (P = 0.4) compared to the same strain containing the empty vector (; mean 15.0). Overexpression was obtained on galactose-containing medium, which itself does not affect life span.
