Mutant mice had 23% reduced lifespan. Other phenotypes: Mutant mice with activated Trp53 display enhanced resistance to spontaneous tumours and signs of premature ageing including reduced lifespan, osteoporosis, organ atrophy and a diminished stress tolerance.
