Single copy overexpression of SIR2 or deletion of FOB1 extends life span in W303AR5. Combining SIR2 overexpression with deletion of FOB1 has no further effect on life span, consistent with the model that SIR2 and FOB1 act antagonistically in the same pathway to modulate replicative life span.
