Female, but not male, DTS-3 heterozygous mutants display a 42% increase in mean life-span at 29 degrees C.

Other phenotypes: DTS-3 +/- female adults have a 50% reduced ecdysone titer and reduced fertility [pubmed]. Female, but not male, heterozygotes also displayed a temperature-dependent increase in starvation resistance. Mutation of the ecdysone receptor, EcR also increases longevity.
